Hatha yoga focuses on asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). Asana and pranayama bring peace to the mind and prepares the body for meditation. Students move fluidly from one pose to the next, connecting their breathing to their movements. The mind and the body are conditioned, strengthened and opened. Classes are 60 minutes long and include yoga asana (postures), meditation, and time for reflection/ journaling.
Bring your mat, a water bottle, a hand towel (for sweat), a mat towel OR a large towel (if you’re prone to sliding). Make sure to drink plenty of water the night before class!
